On May 12th, 2008, a massive earth quake (7.9 Richter scale) hit southwestern China Sichuan province. It has claimed close to 50,000 lives with tens of thousands more injured or still buried under the rubbles, millions homeless. People are suffering and need help.
Total donation is $223,000.00 in which $150,000.00 was sent to build an elmentary school in Sichuan, and $70,000.00 was sent to China Red Cross Society.

To provide humanitarian assistance to the victims and their families of the giant earthquake, the Association of Chinese Professionals Foundation-DFW (ACP Foundation) and US-China Chamber of Commerce of Dallas (USCCC) have established this disaster relief fund.
This fund is now a pan-community effort to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected, especially school children. The following community organizations have committed to participate in this joint initiative:

Working together, we are consolidating financial assistance provided by individuals and businesses in the Dallas-Forth Worth area, and ensuring that such funds will be channeled to the appropriate organizations in the affected area, and can be applied effectively to help those in need.
